McKenzie teter

is a poet, educator, and editor. She received her MFA in poetry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (2021), where she served as a poetry reader for Ecotone and coordinator for the Young Writers Workshop summer program. She received her BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte in 2017. Her writing can be found in Rejection Letters, Foothill Poetry Journal, Italian Americana Review, and more.
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, McKenzie is a lover of all things Midwestern. Her writing focuses on Rust Belt themes, family dynamics, genealogy, girlhood, and Italian traditions and folklore.
She currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina.
